Review: Mobile Music Polyphonic is a software pack that consists of two separate tools - Ringtone Maker and Ringtone Composer. As their names suggest, these apps allows you to create and edit ringtones for your iPhone. The program is packed in a user-friendly interface. Ringtone Maker allows you to import items (RM, RAM, RMVB, AVI, MPG, WAV, WMV, ASF) into the file list via the file browser (drag and drop is unsupported). It is possible to add multiple items for processing. In the queue you can check out the source path and status of each entry. So, you can preview tracks in a built-in audio player and trim them by marking the start and end position. Additionally, you can add a fade in and out effect, as well as adjust the fade and set a fixed maximum duration of 30 seconds for the iPhone ringtone. Once the output directory is established, you can proceed with the conversion task (files are automatically turned into M4R). When the job is completed, the program offers to open the target folder, open iTunes to import ringtones and to close and proceed with the following task. Ringtone Composer allows you to create ringtones by inserting up to four tracks, such as harmonica, acoustic grand piano, clavinet, rock organ, tango accordion, whistle and ocarina. Plus, you can delete notes, use a drag and scroll tool, as well as play the composition and save results to M4R, MMF, MP3 or MID. Furthermore, you can manage a staff sheet, change the background color, select the Midi device, as well as adjust the tempo and note duration zoom level. The clef, key signature, meter and measure can be modified as well. The program requires a moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time and quickly finishes a conversion task. No error dialogs have popped up throughout our testing. You can also check out a help file. The output tracks have a good sound quality. However, you cannot set Mobile Music Polyphonic to turn off the computer when a task is done. No recent updates have been made.
