Review: IE DownloadHelper is a very useful Internet Explorer add-on that allows you to download audio and video files from your favorite sites. Once installed, the application puts an icon in the status bar of Internet Explorer you can start a new download only a few clicks. Besides the fact that it provides such an easy way to download multimedia files from the Internet, IE DownloadHelper also sports a very useful conversion tool which unfortunately is only available in the premium version. It can download videos and music and turn them into other formats, including AVI, FLV, MP3, MP4, MOV and WAV. They? Options? display only minimal and provide a single option, one that allows you to configure the default save folder files, which speeds up the download process even more. On the downside when you start a new download, IE DownloadHelper will open a new window that shows the status of downloads and displays the total size of the file. But it does not boast any statistics or other estimates, so you can see the time remaining or the download speed. In addition, IE DownloadHelper works like a breeze on Most versions of Internet Explorer, into newer or older. While it is possible to restart the browser to run properly, IE DownloadHelper also require you to provide access to the Internet Explorer first time you run the program after installation. Overall, IE DownloadHelper is a download manager that is actually useful and lightweight because it is not such a good job in managing online video and audio files, it can easily become a top product with some minor improvements.
